CARROT HALWA / GAJAR KA HALWA

      I prepared this sweet for Valentine's day. You can treat your valentine with this yummy sweet .It is very simple to prepare. Carrot Halwa does not require more ghee like other halwas. It tastes great with a scoop of Vannila ice cream.
The quantity of sugar can be reduced as per the sweetness of Carrots.

INGREDIENTS

GRATED CARROT
2
MILK
¾ Cup
SUGAR
¼ Cup
CASHEWS,DRY GRAPES
Few
GHEE
1 Tbsp

STEP BY STEP PICTURES
Grate the Carrots.

In a kadai heat ghee and fry the Cashews,Dry grapes.

Saute the Carrot until the raw smell of carrot leaves out.

It should shrink in volume.Pour the milk and mix well.

Let the carrots cook well in milk.

Now add the sugar. Mix well.

Continue to cook until it forms a thick mass and ghee separates out.A pinch of salt can also be added to enhance the sweetness.

Add the Cashews,Dry grapes.

You can also add Cardamom powder.
