RAGDA PATTIES

           Ragda patties is a famous street food item in Mumbai. Ragda patties is nothing but a shallow fried potato patties dunked in a plate of Peas curry topped with Sweet chutney,Green chutney and garnished with finely chopped Onion,Tomato,Coriander leaves.
You can also top it with Sev also. White peas is generally used for this preparation but I used Green Peas. I made a simple & easy Ragda Patties by avoiding the Sweet,Sour Chutney. By grabbing a plate of Ragda Patties you can have a complete meal.

INGREDIENTS

GREEN PEAS
1 Cup
ONION
1
TOMATO
1
RED CHILLY POWDER
1 Tsp
CORIANDER POWDER
½ Tsp
TURMERIC POWDER
¼ Tsp
CHOPPED GINGER & GARLIC
1 Tsp
GARAM MASALA
1 Tsp
CUMIN SEEDS
¼ Tsp
SALT
To Taste
OIL
1 Tsp

Pressure cook the Green Peas by adding Salt. Drain water and keep aside.

In a kadai heat oil & temper with Cumin seeds. Add Ginger,Garlic. Saute it well.

Add Onion. Fry till it turns pink. Then add the tomatoes.

Add all the spice powders and pour 1 Cup of water.

Now add the Cooked Peas,Salt. Mix well & allow it to boil for 10 mins.

Transfer it to a bowl.

Now place the Aloo Tikki in a bowl.

Pour the Peas Gravy.

Sprinkle chopped Onion,Tomato over the peas gravy.

You can also top it with Sev,Boondi.

Always make sure that the Peas gravy is hot while serving.
