PARUPPU PODI

                    I  tasted Paruppu podi for the first time when we got it as a free packet along with Narasus Coffee Powder. It is also very simple to prepare at home.The flavour & aroma will tempt you to eat Paruppu Podi mixed with hot rice topped with Ghee.
It is full of lentils which is a protien packed mixture. Coming on to the recipe.

INGREDIENTS

CHANNA DHAL
½ Cup
TOOR DHAL
¼ Cup
MOONG DHAL
¼ Cup
URAD DHAL
¼ Cup
BLACK PEPPER
¼ Tsp
DRY RED CHILLY
3 - 4
ASAFOETIDA
A Generous pinch
SALT
To Taste

In a kadai dry roast the ingredients (one by one) in low flame. Allow it to cool. Grind it along with Salt in a blender/mixie.

Serve it with hot steamed rice and a dollop of ghee.

Prepare small quantities & store it in an air tight container.
