RAW BANANA/ VAZHAKKAI PODIMAS

This podimas can also be called as Vazhakkai Puttu. It is very simple to prepare.

INGREDIENTS

RAW BANANA

ONION
1
GREEN CHILLY
1
COCONUT
1 Tbsp
JEERA
¼ Tsp
MUSTARD SEEDS
¼ Tsp
URAD DHAL
¼ Tsp
ASAFOETIDA
A Pinch
SALT
To Taste
OIL
1 Tsp

Cut the Vazhakkai into two & pressure cook it for 2 to 3 whistles.

Remove the outer skin of the Vazhakkai.

Grate the Vazhakkai .

Heat oil in a Kadai. Add Mustard seeds,Urad dhal,Jeera,Green chilly,Asafoetida,Grated Vazhakkai,Salt.

Add the coconut & give a quick stir.

Switch off the flame when it gets roasted.

Serve with Sambar Rice.
