KEERAI KOOTU (ANOTHER VERSION)

 Already I have posted Keerai kootu. This is a slight variation of it by adding tomato.

INGREDIENTS


KEERAI
1 Cup
ONION
1
TOMATO
1/2
COCONUT
1 Tbsp
RAW RICE
1 Tsp
JEERA
¼ Tsp
DRY RED CHILLY
2
SALT
To Taste
OIL/GHEE
1 Tsp
MUSTARD SEEDS
¼ Tsp
URAD DHAL
¼ Tsp

Cook the Moong dhal until it is soft.

Now add the Keerai.

In a kadai heat oil add mustard seeds,urad dhal,onion,tomato. Saute until it turns mushy.

Now transfer the contents from the kadai into the Keerai mixture.

Allow it boil.

Soak Raw rice in water for 10 mins. Grind coconut,Raw rice,Jeera,Dry red chilly by adding little water.

Add Salt & give a quick stir.

Top up with ghee.

Yummy Keerai kootu is ready.
