CHANNA KURMA

When you get bored of channa masala ,do try this channa kurma.

INGREDIENTS

WHITE CHANNA
1 Cup
ONION
1
TOMATO
2
GINGER GARLIC PASTE
1 Tsp
CHANNA MASALA  POWDER
½ Tsp
RED CHILLY POWDER
1 Tsp
SOAMBU POWDER
½ Tsp
TURMERIC POWDER
¼ Tsp
COCONUT MILK
¾ Cup
JEERA
¼ Tsp
SALT
To Taste
OIL
½ Tsp

STEP BY STEP PICTURES

Soak channa over night.Pressure cook it for 3 - 4 whistles.

Heat oil in a kadai & temper with Jeera.

Saute onions,tomatoes until it is soft.

Add Ginger Garlic paste,Red chilly powder,Turmeric powder,Channa Masala powder,Salt.

Add water & allow it to boil.

Drain the water from channa. Reserve some smashed channa for thickening purpose.

Add the channa to the boiling mixture.

Cook till the raw smell leaves out.

Now add coconut milk.

Add Soambu powder to it.

Add some smashed channa to it. Mix well until the masala blends well into the channa.

Keep in low flame for 5 mins.

Transfer to a serving bowl.

Top up with sliced onions before serving.
